  • Previous Description

I have set up a practice (practice session) beginning the 12th of January 2019 and every 2nd Saturday of the month, thereafter.

I am aiming: to provide a space for tangueros of all levels of ability to practice in an informal environment to help build confidence especially for anyone nervous about attending milongas to provide an opportunity for peer tutoring, offering one another feedback. There are no lessons; we each have something of value to offer our fellow tangueros to provide any budding DJs the opportunity to try out their playlists

Some may prefer simply to dance and share feedback with partners. However, it is not intended to be a practilonga. The session runs from 13:30 - 17:00. I will be setting up 30 minutes before (and after) any help would be appreciated. Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided, and there is a supermarket and Costa nearby. This venue has modern kitchen facilities.

The location is just off the motorways M6 (J28) & M61 (J8) and Buckshaw Parkway rail station is a short walk away. If you would like to be involved, suggest music, or have ideas please let me know. Bring a partner if you can! Please let me know if you can attend, especially if you are bringing someone new to tango.

  • Previous Description

I have set up a practice session on the 2nd Weekend on the new year, the 12th of January 2019.
    This
has been done this because I felt that it good to provide a space for people to practice outside the working week in an informal environment outside of formal milonga events.
    I hoping it will
help people improve confidence and for those nervous about entering milongas to act as a half-way house.
    I
also wanted to use it as a chance to allow dancers to have their own input into tango whether it is tutoring someone yourself or experimenting the floor with your own music (DJ Practice).
    It is a space
to practice however if people prefer to dance, use it as a chance to get feedback from your partners, but it is not intended to be a practilonga.

The session is from 13:30 - 17:00. Although I will be setting up 30 minutes before and after if you would like to help.

The location is: Lancaster Way Community Centre, Buckshaw Village, Chorley PR7 7EL.
The venue is modern with kitchen facilities.

I will provide tea, coffee & biscuits, and there is a Supermarket and Costa Just outside if you run out of anything.
The location is just of the motorways M6 & M61, and there is a rail station nearby for those who struggle with driving.
If you would like to be involved, suggest music, or have ideas please let me know.

Bring a partner if you can!

    Also,
please let me know if you can attend, especially if you happen to bring someone new to tango or if you are trying to introduce someone to it.
