Our Gran Milonga will take place at The Kursaal, in the first floor Function Rooms in Southend-on-Sea. The venue is just beautiful, once considered to be the very soul of town, The Kursaal has a wonderful colourful history. Originally opened as the Kursaal Palace in 1901, it was designed as a Music Hall with an auditorium on two levels and a Ballroom in the centre of the complex.
The venue has a licenced bar, smooth wooden floor and a good sound system. The fantastic Tom Keenes will be Djing.
There are lots of lovely eateries along Southend sea-front to enjoy a meal before the event, Toulouse for a modern French inspired menu (https://www.toulouserestaurant.co.uk), Sands by the Sea for global cuisine with serious sea views (http://www.sandsbythesea.co.uk) or Ocean Beach for laid- back dining looking over the Estuary (http://www.ocean-beach.co.uk) to name a few.
