Tango Bar has been welcoming dancers from Glasgow and around the world since 2002. Hosted in the basement of Blackfriars Bar in the Merchant City, the club is a unique mix of warmth, openess and good fun with just a touch of clandestine excitement about it too... . Dancers, beginners and experienced alike, will find a warm welcome and good company with which to enjoy what is undoubtedly a very special night of dancing in the centre of Glasgow.

The musical vibe is equally open and fresh with a rotating crew of DJs serving up the classics in personally crafted tandas and cortinas. There's a healthy turn of surprises too, keeping the Tango Bar mojo alive and kicking.

Blackfriars Bar has a great reputation for its relaxed atmosphere, fine beer and diverse clientele. There is also a good selection of food on the menu, available till around 9pm so you can fortify yourself if you've been out and about or coming straight from classes, work etc.

Tango Bar is free and everyone involved in running the club volunteers their time freely, just for the love of dancing tango and encouraging other folks to enjoy it too.
