    We are delighted to host Raquel Greenberg for a special weekend of Tango. Raquel is an internationally renowned teacher and performer of Tango with over 20 years experience, during which she has gained experience of dancing and teaching both roles. Raquel has has trained with some of the best maestros of all time (including Carlos Gavito, Osvaldo Zotto & Lorena Ermocida, and Roberto Hererra) and continues to perform and work with leading maestros and top line Tango dancers at her Tango Academy in London. Her experience has enabled her to develop her own unique teaching methods which are sure to be of benefit to Tango dancers of all levels of experience.

    Programme:
    Saturday 29th June
    1.50pm - 3.20pm - Workshop 1: Ladies' Technique and Styling focuses on the following areas
    - Using your legs and floor, not your partner
    - Dance with expression and presence
    - Get control over your balance and posture
    - Stylish footwork
    - Introduce musicality in your dance
    - Speed of legs
    - Slow and fluid moves
    - Sensual and Feminine Tango Secrets

    3.40 - 5.10pm Workshop 2: All About Sacadas. This will focus on the concept and preparation for all kinds of scadas, from basic to complex sacadas, linear and circular.

    5.30 - 7pm Workshop 3: Men's Technique & The Dream of Leading: This will focus on developing your leading through gaining an understanding the follower role and will include
    - Visualising the follower move
    - Creating the follower move from the floor and the embrace
    - Acquiring solid balance and stability
    - Lead and then follow - how to take the momentum from the follower move
    - Clean and stylish footwork.

    8pm – Midnight Milonga Esquina Porteña with special guest DJ Raquel Greenberg.
    At our milonga we strive to recreate the feel of a traditional Buenos Aires milonga. To this end, we play traditional Tango music organised in tandas TTVTTM with cortinas, and encourage observance of the etiquette of the ronda as well as the traditional codigos. Light refreshments are freely available. Feel free to bring your own wine – glasses are available. If you wish to book a table place, please contact us in advance.
