Tango isn’t just steps, but also a structure. A rhythm. A code. And at the core of that code is the molinete —> the forward-side-back mantra that builds the foundation of all tango movement.

In this series, we’ll treat molinete not just as a sequence, but as a blueprint for improvisation. Learn how to lead and follow it with clarity, how to break it into pieces, and how to put it all back together in any direction, with or without a pivot.

You’ll stop just doing the molinete and start 'owning' it - with precision, intention, and playful control.

What you’ll learn:
✨ Open step vs. cross step - how to tell and how to lead
✨ Side-step vs. weight change - what happens when you swap them
✨ Can you lead a continuous side step? We’ll find out.
✨ Isolate the lead from your own step - the magic of clarity
✨ Molinete mantra: forward – side – back –> repeat
✨ Add pivots to any direction
✨ Create endless combinations - the key to improvisation

Molinete is the basic grammar of tango - the verb, the sentence, the rhythm.
Learn to say more with less. Or say everything with just a few pivots.
