May Day should be a day of joy and celebration of the glories of late spring and of summer yet to come. For this we will have our resident DJ and co-founder, Ricardo Peixoto, whose choice of music will usher in the lovely month of May. The May Day edition of Tango Warwick's traditional milonga will brighten, excite, and enchant your Friday evening, and light up the month to come. Come and join friendly dancers from all over the region, and beyond, in the creation of lovely dances inspired by his music. A perfect evening for the enjoyment of tango.
We will be back at our atmospheric home, Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a good floor,(recently restored), in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics.
There will be some nibbles, cold soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.
We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!
It will be the friendly, joyful, welcoming, and lively, milonga tango dancers have come to love. Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors, occasionals, and regulars alike.
WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. Kenilworth hotels are a short drive away.
