Ochos and pivots are where most dancers quietly get stuck - and where the ones who take the time to understand them pull ahead. Rotations, spirals, isolation, decoupling, delay: even advanced dancers wrestle with these for years. Spend eight Sundays getting them right now, and save yourself hours of frustration later.

Welcome to the secret world of tango. The doors are ajar.

This course is built around one deceptively simple pair of questions: cross versus ocho, pivot versus turn. Once you can feel the difference - and know when and how to use each — the rest of your dancing opens up.

What you'll learn:
• Cross versus ocho - what's the difference?
• Forward and back crosses, and ochos
• Opposition and spiral movement
• Pivot and the axis of pivot
• Contra body movement versus spiral
• Simultaneous ochos
• Isolating lead from follow
• Ocho cortado
✅ Some tango basics recommended (comfortable with the walk and embrace)
✅ Singles and couples both welcome
✅ Open to anyone 21 and older
