Add an Organisation

The video below will take you through the steps to add an organisation to Tango Timetable. For maximum readability, make sure you switch the video to full screen and HD for viewing.

The following guide also covers the process.

Guide

Once you have successfully signed up and verified your account then you can create an Organisation on Tango Timetable which is a necessary step for adding events to the calendar.

To create an organisation, make sure you are logged in and click on the Add Organisation entry in the Organisations menu in the top navigation bar.

This will take you to the Add Organisation page where you have to enter the details of your organisation in the form. The details are:

  • Ownership

This is where you state whether you are registering an organisation that you run or one that you do not run but that you would like to see represented on the site. In this case you want to select I own and represent this organisation.

  • Organisation Name

This should be the name under which your organisation or society normally operates.

  • Organisation Email

This is an official email for the organisation. Tango Timetable does not display this publicly on the website but it helps as an official avenue of communication with your organisation if it is available.

  • Description

A brief description of your organisation. Potentially describing the region that your organisation operates in, the style of dance and the background of the teachers.

  • Links

This section allows for the optional addition of website links associated with your organisation. You might choose to provide a link to your organisation's home page or your Facebook Page.

Once you have entered all the relevant details, click Add Organisation at the bottom of the form. Your organisation will be created immediately and you will be taken to your organisation's new page on Tango Timetable.

At the top of your page will be a notice explaining that your organisation has not been approved yet. There is nothing you need to do and you can create events without needing approval first.

As a precautionary step, we are keen to review each new organisation that is added. Once a moderator has reviewed your organisation page, you will receive a notification letting you know it has been approved.

If you are following the Getting Started guide, then please continue to the next step: Add a Venue.
