Viva Tango is honoured and delighted to present a workshop with Milena Plebs – master teacher, choreographer and performer.
Milena Plebs is extremely relevant in the history of Argentine Tango. Originally a professional contemporary dancer at San Martin Theatre in Buenos Aires she was then instrumental in the rebirth of the tango dance in the 1980’s. She performed in Claudio Segovia and Hector Orezzoli hit show ‘Tango Argentino’ (1986-1989) and set up the ‘Tango x 2 Company’ with Miguel Zotto. Together they created, choreographed, produced and starred in eight full stage tango productions many of which toured internationally.

She has since presented her own company ‘Milena Tango Dance Theatre’ to critical acclaim Milena has written for ‘El Tangauta’ magazine and is an Honorary academic in the National Tango Academy of Argentina. She teaches and presents tango seminars in prestigious festivals in Argentina and around the world.

In September 2018 she will tour Europe and will come to Chester to teach a two hour workshop for leaders and followers at ‘El Cafetin de Tango’ before joining us at our afternoon milonga! This is NOT TO BE MISSED!

Places are limited and by reservation only. Leader and Follower numbers will be balanced although you do not need to book with a partner.
