Semi-finalists at the Mundial and champions of the prestigious Los Reyes de la Plaza competition in 2022, Luciano Millaqueo & Celeste Cimino will bring their unique style to El Cafetin de Tango in February.
Luciano and Celeste were brought up immersed in tango culture as their grandparents danced in the Golden Age of Tango in Buenos Aires back in the 1940s.
They have worked together for eleven years studying the roots of tango, bringing the history and tradition to their individual style of dance.
In a workshop exploring a series of "Salidas" developed at the well-known Sunderland Club of Villa Urquiza, Luciano and Celeste will teach these walking steps with cadence which can be applied to both tango and milonga. "Salidas" are seesaw movements where leader and follower are perfectly connected to one another and they apply well in the social dance.
